Anfang des Jahres klagte ein Schwarzer Student gegen eine rassistische motivierte Polizeikontrolle; das Verwaltungsgericht Koblenz gab jedoch der Polizei Recht und somit grünes Licht für racial profiling, Polizeikontrollen anhand von Hautfarbe oder unterstellter Herkunft. In zweiter Instanz erklärte das Oberverwaltungsgericht Rheinland-Pfalz diese Entscheidung für nichtig und die damalige Polizeikontrolle für rechtswidrig. Somit wurde die juristische Legalisierung von „racial profiling“ gerade noch gestoppt. Wir freuen uns darüber, dass das rassistische Vorgehen der Polizei durch ein Gericht, wenn auch erst in zweiter Instanz, nicht legitimiert wurde. Doch leider ist damit das Problem rassistischer Polizeikontrollen nicht aus der Welt. Täglich sind viele People of Color von „racial profiling“ betroffen; und das nicht nur in Rheinland-Pfalz, auch wenn die Bundesregierung diese polizeiliche Praxis bis heute leugnet: Bundesweit berichten People of Color von ständigen Kontrollen, Schikanen, Demütigung. Rassismus ist ein gesellschaftliches Phänomen, das sich fest in staatlichen Strukturen verankert hat. Auch in Dresden gehören rassistische Polizeimaßnahmen zum Alltag von People of Color – sei es die Hetzjagd auf Flüchtlinge letzten Jahres zu Weihnachten oder die täglichen sogenannten verdachtsunabhängigen Kontrollen an Bahnhöfen und öffentlichen Plätzen. In Dresden und ganz Deutschland kann jeder Parkbesuch in Schikanen enden, die mehrheitlich Menschen treffen die nicht ins Bild des Weißen Deutschen passen. Wir stellen uns gegen polizeilichen Rassismus und fordern ein wirkliches Ende rassistischer Kontrollen. Mit einer öffentlichen Kundgebung am Dresdener Hauptbahnhof wollen wir über rassistische Polizeipraxen informieren und ein klares Zeichen dagegen setzen. Neben Redebeiträgen zu diesen Themen wird es auch einen Infostand geben, an dem ihr euch über institutionalisierten Rassismus informieren könnt und wie ihr euch dagegen wehren könnt. Dazu haben wir in Zusammenarbeit mit KOP Berlin eine multilinguale Broschüre herausgebracht: „Was tun bei Polizeigewalt“. Daher laden wir ein am Mittwoch, 5. Dezember 2012 von 15 bis 18 Uhr zu unserer Kundgebung am Hauptbahnhof in Dresden ein. Kommt zahlreich und stellt euch klar gegen den rassistischen Alltag!

„Racist identity checks? Each is one too much!“ STOP RACIAL PROFILING!

At the beginning of the year a black student took action against a racist motivated identity check, but the administration court of the city Koblenz decided in favour of the police officers and therefore gave the go-ahead for racial profiling – identity checks justified through the victims skin colour. In appeals procedure the administrative appeals tribunal Rheinland-Pfalz nullified the judgement and declared the identity check illegal. The Legalisation of racial profiling was stopped last minute. We are happy the court did not legitimate the racist behaviour of the police officers. But racial profiling and racist police procedures are still an up-to-date issue.
People of Colour are affected by racial profiling daily – not only in Rheinland-Pfalz. Even if the German government denies this method of the police; people of colour from the whole country report on permanent checks, abasement and harassment. Racism is a social phenomenon that is as well rooted in federal structures. In Dresden racist police actions belong to the everyday life of people of colour as well. No matter if it is the chivvy on refugees last winter around Christmas or the daily so called “verdachtsunabhängige Kontrollen” -identity checks without a given suspicion- at train stations and public places. In Dresden and the whole
country every visit of a park can end in abasement for people that do not fit in the image of a white German.
We oppose to racism of the police and demand a real end to racist police actions. With a manifestation at Dresdens main station we want to inform about racist police procedures and take a symbolic stand against those. In addition to speeches to the topic there will be an information desk where you can learn something about institutionalised racism and how you can resist to it. For this purpose we made a multilingual brochure: “What to do against of police brutality”. We invite you to join our manifestation on Wednesday 5. December 2012 from 3 to 6 pm at Dresden’s main station.

Stop racial profiling and racist police brutality!

„Control de identidad racista? Cada control es uno demás“- STOPPT RACIAL PROFILING!!!

A comienzo de ano un estudiante de piel oscura se quejaba contra el control policial de motivación racista, sin embargo el tribunal administrativo de Koblenz le dió la razón a la policia y con ello luz verde para racial profiling, controles policiales debido al color de piel o origen presunto. En segunda instancia el tribunal superior
administrativo de Rheinland-Pfalz anuló esta decisión y con ello el control policial de entonces. A travéz de ello se detuvo justo a tiempo la legalización jurídica de „racial profiling“. Nosotros nos alegramos sobre esto, que el proceder racista de la policía, aunque en segunda instancia a travéz de un tribunal, no fué legitimado. Pero lamentablemente con ello no desaparece el problema de control policial racista. Todos los días son muchas personas de color afectadas por el „racial profiling“, y eso no solo en Rheinland-Pfalz, aunque el gobierno federal (alemán) deniege hasta ahora esta práctica policial. En todo el territorio federal informan personas de color sobre constantes controles, trabas y humillaciones. Racismo es un fenómeno social solidamente fijado en las estructuras estatales. En Dresde pertenecen medidas policiales racistas también en la vida cotidiana de las personas de color- así por ejemplo la persecución de refugiados del ano pasado en navidad ó los
controles sin sospecha alguna que ocurren diariamente en estaciones ferroviarias y lugares públicos. En Dresde como en toda Alemania cada visita de un parque puede terminar en trabas; la mayoria de aquellas afectan a gente que no encaja con la imagen del alemán blanco. Nos ponemos en contra del racismo policial y exigimos un verdadero final de controles racistas. Con una manifestación pública delante de la estación central ferroviaria de Dresde queremos informar sobre las
prácticas racistas policiales y poner una clara senal en contra. Habrá discursos sobre estos temas y una caseta de información, en la cual ustedes podrán informarse sobre el racismo institucionalizado y también como pueden protegerse contra ello. En colaboración con KOP Berlin hemos publicado un folleto multilingual que se dedica al tema: „que hacer en caso de una fuerza policial“. Les invitamos a nuestra manifestación el miércoles 5 de diciembre de 15:00 a 18:00 horas en la estación central ferroviaria en Dresde.
